Third Person POV

The dorm building that belonged to SEES in Gekkoukan High School was one that certainly didn’t lack any sort of character, as there was so many interesting people inside the building that you could easily tell who is who from describing them alone.

As the high school students that resided in the dorm building, excluding Shinjiro, prepared for the school day ahead, they noticed that a certain someone was missing.

Yukari: Hey, where is L/n-senpai? It’s not like him to miss out on school due to a little cold.

Junpei: Uhhh, have you forgotten that he wore shorts…during the winter?! When it was snowing?!

Yukari: Yeah, but he didn’t get the sniffles! Not even once!

Junpei: Wish I had a strong immune system like that…

Like everyone else who lived at the dorm building, you are also a Persona user and one of the more experienced ones. Your Persona, Achilles, is one of the stronger innate personas out there. Resistant to all forms of attacks, yet Achilles is only able to learn physical and support skills. Also, Achilles' physical skills require a high cost to pay, making Yukari a must-have for Wild Card cousins Minato Arisato and Kotone Shiomi.

Shinjiro: I’ll go check up on him.

Shinjiro POV

If this guy starts deciding to ditch now, then he’s going to have one hell of a time with Mitsuru. When I walked up the stairs and to his dorm room, I gave it a light knock and called his name a couple of times to try and wake him up if he is sleeping in. Getting no response, which is most likely the case, I lightly twisted the doorknob to see if it was unlocked and surprisingly, it was. Slowly pushing open the door, I saw from the crack of the door that his bedsheets were covered in a sickly crimson coating. I told this guy time and time again to get a body pillow to cover up that wall…

Y/n: *from the bathroom* Who is there?

Shinjiro: It’s me. The others are waiting for you.

Hearing the faucet turn off, I hear the clicking of his dress shoes of his summer uniform, I see that what stands out from his professional and serious look is that red streak coming out of his nostril as he wipes it away with a tissue pack he had handy.

Shinjiro: Told you.

Y/n: I’ll get a body pillow after school. Get off my case.

What was strange about his summer uniform was that it was an open short sleeved white shirt that exposed the black tank he wore underneath. The strange part is when you look at the button shirt more closely because it lacked any buttons on them. Then again, I’m not one to judge because I wear a peacoat and a beanie during summer.

Third Person POV

Bolting down the stairs and out the door, you used your track team captain levels of training to catch up to the very large group of Persona users as Kotone turned around and saw you lightly jogging and closing the gap between them and you.

Kotone: Oh look, it’s L/n-senpai!

Y/n: Good morning everyone. Sorry for holding all of you up earlier.

Mitsuru: It’s fine, but what made you stay later than usual?

Y/n: Two things: a bloody nose and an old tradition.

Aigis: “Tradition”? I did not know schools now have traditions they follow.

Y/n: All schools are different Aigis, but my previous school had a tradition with all of the upper classmen. During the time when students can wear summer uniforms, they take off all of the buttons on their uniforms and give it to friends. I’ve always wanted to do that, but the rest is history as they say.

Fuuka: Wow! That’s so cool! I didn’t know you transferred schools Y/n-senpai!

Yukari: Are there any meanings behind the buttons?

Y/n: Every button that isn’t the collar, you’re supposed to give to your friends. The collar button is the one you’re supposed to give to the person you love. It’s like a confession letter without the confession letter.

Aigis: The buttons on the shirt look the same. How would one know if the button they are receiving is the collar button?

Y/n: The collar button from my previous school was more ornate and decorated when compared to the others and I’ve made sure to mark the collar button on this shirt before removing the buttons. Which reminds me—

You took out the buttons from your pocket and handed one to Minato, Junpei, and Akihiko. You already gave one to Shinjiro before you left and you would save the three other buttons for your other friends at school, which only leaves the collar button for your special someone.

Your special someone…that is what plagued your mind. You’re not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer when it came to romance. Someone could say “I love you” right in front of you and you would think they were saying it in a joking manner. Still, this was a time to seriously consider who exactly you wanted to spend your future with.

You weren’t exactly in Gekkoukan High School for your entire high school life, but in the time that you did, you’ve come to meet a couple of interesting people, both teacher and student alike.

All that was certain for you was that you would give your collar button to someone you would spend your life with.
